O’Hare TP39 Satellite I Lower Concourse C Extension Project

  • Virtual Design & Construction
  • Integrated Solutions
  • Modular & Prefabrication
  • Energy Solutions

The Lower Concourse C Extension project is situated at O’Hare's Terminal 1 and was carried out by Connelly Electric, collaborating with Power & Sons Construction Co. and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, under Trade Package 39, within the Turner Paschen Aviation Partners CMAR group.

This project involved the phased demolition and relocation of the existing passenger boarding bridges from the Concourse C façade to the ends of newly installed elevated fixed link bridges. By moving the boarding bridges away from the existing façade, this relocation allows the City of Chicago’s Department of Aviation to proceed with the westward expansion of the airport’s infrastructure and start construction on a planned temporary concourse.

Electrical systems installed by Connelly Electric include general purpose and emergency power systems, fire alarm, low voltage card access/CCTV/security for both the Chicago Department of Aviation and United Airlines, and public address systems.
